Travel Insurance

It’s recommend all travelers visiting Africa should have travel insurance cover for medical treatment and emergency air evacuation.

Security

We emphasize on security of our clients from the day they arrive till their departure. The tourism industry in Kenya takes seriously the safety of the tourists with the Safety and Communication Centre which is supported by the Kenya Tourism Federation (KTF) to ensure 24 hours safety of the visitors in coordination of Kenya’s security agencies.

Health

Kenya has no mandatory vaccinations unless you’re travelling to areas with Yellow Fever infections that will require you to carry a Certificate of Inoculation against Yellow Fever.

Kenya Visas

All Kenya visitors require Visas except nationals from countries such as:

Bahamas, Barbados, Bangladesh, Botswana, Brunei-Darussalam, Dominica, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Gambia, Fiji Islands, Ghana, Jamaica, Grenada, Kiribati, Malawi,  Lesotho, Maldives, Namibia, Mauritius, Nauru, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Seychelles, San Marino, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Singapore, South Africa (when staying for less than 30 days), St Lucia, Swaziland, St Vincent & The Grenadines, Turkey, Tanzania, Tonga, Tuvalu, Uruguay,  Uganda, Vanuatu, Zimbabwe, Zambia

Other nationals require Visas which can be accessed at the airport in Nairobi and Mombasa after arrival. However countries such as:

Afghanistan,  Azerbaijan, Armenia, Senegal, Somalia,  Lebanon, Iran, Libya, Iraq, Syria,  Mali, Sudan,  Yemen, Nigeria, Pakistan, Cameroon,  North Korea, Tazikstan

require to have visas prior to their arrival.

Photography

Tourist should have a camera to capture all the great memories in Africa. As experts in the field we suggest a 35mm or 5+ mega pixel digital camera. It’s also recommendable to have Interchangeable lenses with normal lens and telephoto of not lower than 200 mm. For close-up shots and perfect bird photos, 400 mm is the ideal choice. This is not the limitation; you can carry other lenses such as macro, wide angle, etc

Climate in Kenya

Kenya has varying climatic conditions, from the coastal tropical humidity, savannah’s dry heat, and the cool air in the highlands. Annual temperatures are fairly constant averaging at 27°C (80°F)-coast, 21°C to 27°C (70°F to 80°F) – hinterland and 19°C and 24°C (66°F to 75°F) – Nairobi and the Highlands.

  • Kshs 87 to $1 US Dollar
  • Kshs 149 to £1 GBP

Major Credit cards are generally accepted in city restaurants, hotels and city shops but not the case at rural areas. A commission is charged while transacting using credit cards. It’s advisable for a traveler to use cash in local currency to avoid unfavorable charges and exchange rates.
